GDC European Pitch Night 2016 Recap

For the third year in a row we have had the pleasure to co-organize a European Pitch Night during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. Like last year, the goal of the pitch night was a collaborative effort to bring gaming studios, developers, and investors together to showcase the the best of the European gaming industry! We were lucky enough to welcome Ru Weerasuriya of Ready at Dawn to give the keynote speech along with a diverse jury of experts to judge the companies on their pitch quality, novelty, design and team.

An audience of over 150 made their way over from the conference to watch the European pitching competition unfold. From Belgiuam, Abrakam from Wallonia and Preview Labs from Flanders both pitched along with companies from Sweden, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, and Norway. The bar was set high with many fantastic companies, but in the end it was the Swiss Ozwe Games, makers of Anshar War, that brought home the trophy!

We would like to thank everyone who attended for helping to make the event such a success. We will be back next year with the 2017 GDC European Pitch Night and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
